The Historic Old Mill
Our Mill is featured and pictured in the Historic Mills of Americaon pages 46 and 47, as well as, the book In Touch With The Past.on pages 174 to 184.
The Skeenah Creek Mill, located on the campground property was built in 1848 by Willis Rabun Woody. In 1838, he travelled from his home in Rutherford, North Carolina by four horse wagon, with his wife and 8 children to make their new home in Fannin County, Georgia.
The Mill's beams are handhewn. The MillStone ground Rye, Wheat and Corn. The 2nd floor was a SawMill.
